The CMA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Columbus Medical Association. For nearly 70 years, we have served as a trusted steward of physician-led funds, investing in programs that improve lives in central Ohio
Our ability impact our community changed significantly in 1993 when we received a $22 million endowment from the sale of the Physicians Health Plan, an insurance plan created and funded by local physicians.
Today, we make strategic investments in physician-led and community programs that support physicians and people, and strengthen community health and safety.
In 2025, we provided more than $1,800,000 in funding to impactful organizations and programs.
Each year, we invest in physician-led organizations and community programs improving the lives of patients, physicians, and families across central Ohio.
Thanks to responsible stewardship, our endowment is valued at more than $118,000,000, providing the foundation to sustain our impactful work.
Continued investment is needed to navigate the challenges ahead, and to ensure the Foundation reflects physician passions, priorities, and legacy.
