Together, we can solve some of our community’s most pressing health challenges
By investing in physician-led solutions, you help expand access to care, develop future healthcare leaders, and strengthen the health of our community for generations to come.
We focus on the following priorities that improve the lives of patients, physicians, and families across central Ohio.
Access to Care
Thousands of Central Ohio residents face barriers to the medical care they need, especially in moments of crisis. The CMA Foundation invests in a coordinated network of partners, including Physicians CareConnection, COTS, and the ADAMH Franklin County Crisis Center to connect vulnerable residents to care and ensure our region is prepared to respond when emergencies strike. Together, these efforts help make sure that no one falls through the cracks when they need care the most.
We supported the training of more than 2,900 healthcare providers, first responders, and public health professionals through COTS in 2025.We fund free access to a 2,652 vulnerable adults received medical, dental, mental health, and pregnancy services in 2025 thanks to our support of the PCC Center for Optimal Health. We enabled expanded mental health services by providing a $500,000 grant to the ADAMH Franklin County Crisis Center.Supporting Physicians
Burnout and isolation continue to challenge healthcare professionals across the country. The Foundation invests in programs like the Physicians Leadership Academy and Doc to Doc that give physicians the skills, resilience, and community they need to thrive, whether that means navigating a complex healthcare system, connecting with fellow women in medicine, or simply finding others who understand the demands of the profession.
We offset the cost of the Physician Leadership Academy and have helped 216 physicians advance their leadership and well-being since the transformational program began in 2012.We fund free access to a network of physician peers trained to support their colleagues in need through our Doc to Doc program. We support connection, renewal, and career satisfaction by funding regular gatherings for our Women in Medicine community.Inspiring Future Leaders
The next generation of physicians and community leaders is already at work in Central Ohio. Through Made for Medicine and the CMA Foundation Youth Council, students explore careers in healthcare and philanthropy through mentorship, education, and real hands-on experience, helping them build the confidence and connections to lead. Together, these programs are shaping a stronger, more diverse future for medicine and for our community.
Our funding has supported 165 students to explore medical careers through Made for Medicine. Our Youth Council has awarded $368,000 in grants to local non-profits to help vulnerable youth in our community since 2001.
